Affiliate Disclosure

The plain statement

Some pages contain links to the tools we cover. If you subscribe through a link marked as an affiliate link, the vendor may pay us a commission — at no extra cost to you. Non-affiliate official links are provided wherever a program doesn't exist, and they point to exactly the same product.

We participate in a limited set of vendor affiliate programs and add them to this page as they begin. Links are labeled in context ("affiliate link" on the button or beside it).

What commissions do not buy

Commissions do not buy verdicts, rankings, review existence, or tone. Tools without affiliate programs are covered exactly like tools with them; negative findings appear on pages that could earn us money, because a guide that only ever says "buy" stops being a guide — and stops being trusted, which is the only asset a review site has.

Questions about a specific link

If a link is ever mislabeled, or points somewhere that does not match its label, that is a bug — report it via the contact page and it gets fixed like any other error. The same goes for a tool that should not appear on a given page.

And if you are a vendor who would rather we not use an affiliate link at all, say so and it is swapped for the plain official link on the next update pass — the coverage itself does not change.
