About AI Video Verdict

What this site is

AI Video Verdict is an independent guide to AI video tools. We cover twelve major products across three categories — generative engines (Sora, Kling, Veo, Runway, Hailuo, Pika, Luma), assembly studios (InVideo, CapCut, Fliki) and avatar platforms (HeyGen, Synthesia) — with the same structure every time: what it does well, where it falls short, what it costs, and who should skip it.

The premise is that "best" is a category error in this market. The right tool depends on the job: original clips versus finished videos versus scalable presenters. Every page on this site exists to route you to the right category first, then the right product in it.

How verdicts are made

Verdicts summarize official specifications and documentation, published pricing, and the consistent findings of large creator communities — cross-checked so that a single viral comparison does not swing a pick. We do not accept payment for ratings or placement, and we do not fabricate hands-on "lab tests": where a judgment genuinely depends on your footage and prompts, we say so and point you to the free tier instead of pretending.

Prices are snapshots from official pages, dated on every mention (currently October 2026). Plans change often; the dates are there so you can judge staleness for yourself.

How the site is funded

Some pages contain clearly-labeled links to the tools themselves. If you subscribe through an affiliate link, the vendor may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never change verdicts, rankings or the existence of a page — the disclosure page has the plain statement.
